ConsentSafe gives people a clearer, more structured way to document mutual consent. The app is designed to help both people participate together, make selections intentionally, and create a private, time-stamped, revocable Mutual Consent Agreement, or MCA. It is built around clarity, mutual participation, and the principle that consent can always be withdrawn at any time.
The process begins when one person creates an account and starts a new MCA. That person begins the flow inside the app, chooses the basic agreement details, and then hands the same device to the second participant so both people can complete the process together. ConsentSafe is designed as a mobile-first experience, so the agreement flow is meant to happen on one device with both adults present.
Next, the app guides both participants through the agreement details. ConsentSafe starts with a default activity list, and users can uncheck any items that do not apply. There is also space to add a custom activity when needed. This step is designed to help both people review and confirm what is being agreed to instead of relying on assumption or vague conversation alone.
After that, the participants choose the duration of the agreement. The MCA is meant to reflect what both people agreed to at a specific time for a selected length of time. This is one of the core parts of the process, because the agreement is not meant to be open-ended or permanent.
The app also includes a safe-word step, which is optional. Both participants can confirm a safe word as part of the guided flow, adding another layer of clarity before the agreement is finalized.
Once the details are reviewed, both people sign the MCA inside the app. ConsentSafe then requires a short video step with both participants visible. This video is part of the agreement process and is required before the MCA becomes active.
The second participant also enters their own email address privately during the flow. That email address is not shown to the first participant. After the MCA is completed, the second participant receives a secure email link that provides limited access only to that specific agreement.
When the process is complete and the MCA is saved, the agreement becomes active. At that point, ConsentSafe has created a private, time-stamped record of what both adults agreed to, for the selected duration, with both signatures and the required video step included.
ConsentSafe is designed so that either participant can revoke the MCA independently at any time. If an agreement is revoked, it is no longer active going forward. The other party will be notified immediately that the MCA, and the consent, has been revoked. If the agreement reaches the end of its selected duration, it expires automatically. If both people want to continue or make changes, they can go through the guided process again to create a new versioned agreement.
Privacy is built into each step of the experience. ConsentSafe is designed as a privacy-first product, stored videos are encrypted and access-restricted, and stored media is not available for general playback or download in the app.
